Soft Atlantic is an atmospheric original seascape capturing the shifting light, movement and energy of the ocean.
Layers of translucent blues, soft turquoise and foaming white create a sense of water continually moving across the canvas. Expressive brushwork gives the sea its energy, while the softer horizon and diffused light bring a feeling of space and calm beyond the breaking waves.
Rather than depicting a particular coastline, Soft Atlantic evokes the experience of standing at the edge of the sea – the changing light, salt air and hypnotic rhythm of the water.
